| These are a few of my favorite things: hot chocolate. playing board games with my kids. feeling comfortable with friends. waking up to a kiss. letting it all out. remembering what made people like my granddad so neat. not working at a bank. cooking over a campfire. surviving. autumn colors. tavern meals with friends. getting out of debt. my canon xTi. spinach. being quiet. cheesey b-movies. shel silverstein. spreading my wings. taking pictures so beautiful they don't need photoshop. reading. shredding the past. welcoming the future. I am a mother of two. I have a day to day battle with depression and bipolar disorder with myself and my kids. I see the world through lenses that belong to me and no one else. I am currently attending college, working toward a dual Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Health Care Administration. My father was a shutterbug, and I grew up fascinated with his old Nikon 35mm. My mother is a decorating fiend who can come up with the greatest ideas, no thought needed. I just take what I see and put it on paper. And sometimes I take what I feel and put it on canvas. But I cannot imagine a life without being able to express myself via art. My goals are not unlike those of most other people. I have always believed (and been told by more than one wise man) that the key to a happy, successful life is to find a job that you'd do for free. This is my love. Little feetLittle feet run ahead of me down the long gravel drive leading to the mailbox at the fork in the road. September in Georgia is usually free of rain. Last night there was a downpour that quenched the dry, thirsty ground. The damp dirt and grasses stick to his bare feet.Little feet
He doesn't mind dirt on the bottom of his feet. That's the last thing on his mind as he chases a terrier. Laughing, smiling, turning to look-make sure I'm still there.
The sun's not shining above. Autumn is creeping in -earlier than the last few years.
